Salary: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Responsibilites

Sales:

  • Obtain Health and Ancillary markets for Individual/Small Group and Large Group Health Insurance.
  • Prequalify new business according to agency standards.
  • Assists clients with making coverage decisions by reviewing client's exposures and recommending appropriate coverage.
  • Inform and educate the client about policy coverage, exclusions and limitations.
  • Work closely with Management to meet production goals.
  • Complete applications and submit them to eligible and appropriate carriers. Then follow up with the carrier to ensure timely receipt of quotations.
  • Actively seeks referrals from existing client base for possible New Business prospects.
  • Process Medicare Supplements.

Retention:

  • Employer/Employee Meetings for Small Group & Large Group Clients.
  • Explain Health, Dental, and Vision Plans and assist employees with the application process.
  • Work closely with Management to meet retention goals.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients, brokers, and carriers.
  • Remarket renewals, contact clients, create renewal proposals and handle other renewal activities according to procedure.
  • Actively work to round out existing accounts by providing coverage options applicable to client exposure.
  • Work closely with Management and Producer to best serve the client.
  • Maintain and update agency management system with the most current and accurate information.
  • Diligently strive to protect the interest of the client, the agency and the carriers by following all procedures and guidelines as they apply.

Requirements

  • General Lines Agent Life, Accident, Health and HMO Agents License Preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computers and technology, AMS360/BenefitPoint experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
